New Ideas for East
Fishkill
It has always been a goal
of the East Fishkill Republican Party to keep our town a
great place to live. Our Republican elected officials have
provided us with:
- an efficient police
department that has been fully accredited by the N.Y.S.
Division of Criminal Justice Services since 1992. Our
police department is one of only two accredited in the
county – and the first one to obtain that rating.
- outstanding
recreation facilities that include basketball courts,
baseball, softball, and football fields, a soccer
complex, and a roller hockey rink. We are currently
adding new soccer and football fields with irrigation
and lighting to the main recreation area.
- a highway department
that is dedicated to maintaining our roadways and will
continue to implement our long-range local highway
projects, maintenance programs, and storm water systems.
- a significantly
lowered town-wide insurance rating (saving property
owners hundreds of dollars in insurance premiums). This
was accomplished through a joint effort with the town, our volunteer Firefighters and Rescue personnel.
- membership in the
Dutchess County Greenway Compact, and the preservation
of two local farms - Silverledge and Kiyawana - and we
have committed thousands of acres of open space in
conservation easements.
